The River Frome at Cruxton

The river Frome meanders through the fields outside Maiden Newton and down towards a pretty little bridge in the hamlet of Cruxton. Guests are welcome to use our small stretch of riverbank belonging to Cruxton Escapes.  There is a fire pit, bench, table and chairs, a small hut where other items are stored. The peace and tranquility is arresting with the bird song and burble of water. Often seen are swans, ducks, moorhens and even kingfishers on the river.
